It was a hot day in Detroit when dozens of tour buses pulled in front of Comerica Park—the ideal location for an all-day rock fest. Six stages, nearly seventy bands, over 130 security personnel and thousands of very vocal fans were scattered in and around the stadium, which brought Detroit’s noise level to the highest it’s been since, well, last year’s Warped Tour. — Paul Kitti

Manchester Orchestra and Cage the Elephant at The Fillmore Detroit on Tuesday, May 17.
Manchester Orchestra sounded great and Matt Schultz of the Cage the Elephant crowd surfed all the way into the balcony!

Today we welcome 2 new writers, both of whom, bring connections to the micro brew world. This is actually nice since, you know, beer is kind of our thing. In the next couple months if you see lots of errors or typos and random thoughts spliced into a column, you now know why. On a more serious note, we are really excited about Mary and David are think both of them are going to add so much to our team.
In addition to more writers, we’re also looking to bring on board 1 or 2 more sales people. We’re looking for someone with experience and gets our relationship focused approach.
